Walking away doesn't mean you failed

Updated: Oct 31, 2021

So many times when we make the conscious thought to walk away from something(especially if we desired it for so long) we tell ourselves we quit.

And now let that word sink in for a second- QUIT.

It holds so much negative feelings around it. Whether you use it for yourself or for others, it is used when you are in a negative frame of mind. You use that word when you have decided you or someone else around you has failed.

But what if we stopped and relooked at it from a different angle.

What if we realized that maybe the act of walking away isn’t from a place of failure but from a place of love.

To realize you are in a unhealthy or unsatisfying phase in your life and you decide it’s time to walk away and change is actually such a huge form of self love that takes a lot of strength.

Next time you decide it’s time to shift and change, drop the word “quit” and use the word “walked away”. Because just like you are doing, when you walk away from something you realize you are in control of the situation.
