What is parental burnout?

Updated: Oct 31, 2021

These(see picture)

are all absolutely signs of parental burnout BUT it can also be from emotional burnout that overflows into your parenting.

When this happens, instead of self reflecting and being more caring to ourselves, we tend to lay on the mom/dad guilt thick. We criticize everything we are doing wrong instead of seeing where the broken or missing piece is.

If you resinate with any of the above things, chances are it’s time to make a little bit of time for yourself. It’s time you make yourself a priority.

It does not have to be hours alone, it can be 15 minutes here and there. And do you know the beautiful thing about this is?

You become internally happier when you take a moment to breath. And that means you also become externally happier.

Aka you are in a better mood around your family and can handle situations without it triggering a full blown mom rage or break down.

I know it’s hard to find time for yourself but I promise it’s possible. As a mom of 4 boys, I get it. But I also have many little tips and tricks that can help you.
